Rainy Tuesday

A low pressure system moving northeast from the Tennessee Valley will allow subtropical moisture to stream into the region and fuel showers throughout today and tonight. Rainfall totals will be around a half inch, except locally higher amounts in the mountains.

After the storm and trailing cold front move through, high pressure takes control. This will bring drier and more seasonal air into the area. Expect dry conditions and highs in the mid 50s with lows in the low to mid 30s for the remainder of the week and into the weekend.
