Sunshine into This Weekend

Current Surface Map
High pressure will build in today, bringing mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low 60s.

A cold front will pass through tomorrow, bringing some clouds with it, but it will be a dry frontal passage. Highs tomorrow will push into the mid 60s.

Behind the front, skies are expected to clear and the coldest night of the season thus far is on tap. Lows tomorrow night will range from the upper 20s across Northern and Western Maryland, to upper 30s in the cities.

Sunny Stretch Continues

Current Surface Map
High pressure continue to control our weather. After a chilly start to the day, expect abundant sunshine and highs in the mid 70s.

The high pressure will begin to move off the coast tomorrow as our next weather maker begins to move towards the area. In the meantime, expect more sunshine tomorrow as temperatures warm a bit and dew points rise. Highs will be in the low 80s.

A cold front will move through the state Saturday night. Ahead of the front, isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday afternoon and evening.

Highs Saturday will be in the low to mid 80s.

Two More Days of Heat

Current Surface Map
High pressure over the southern Appalachians will continue to push warmer air into the region today and tomorrow.

Temperatures are expected to approach 100 degrees this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Although it will be hot, dew points are expected to drop into the 60s which will keep heat index values down.

The humidity will return tomorrow as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop possibly becoming severe and producing locally heavy rainfall. Highs will be in the mid 90s.

Sunny, Breezy and Nice Today

Current Surface Map
High pressure will build in from the west today, setting the stage for breezy but pleasant day. Highs today will top out around 80 degrees. Another cool night tonight, with lows falling to around 60 by sunrise tomorrow before the gradual warm up begins.

As the area of high pressure moves eastward and off the coast, the heat and humidity will begin to build. We will have one more day in the 80s tomorrow before approaching the low 90s on Thursday and pushing into the mid to upper 90s on Friday and Saturday.

Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms Today

Current Surface Map
A cold front will move through the state today. Ahead of the front, showers and thunderstorms are developing. These showers and storms will affect the western part of the state by late morning and move eastward through the day. Some of the storms may become strong this afternoon as they move through central Maryland bringing gusty winds and large hail. Highs today will push into the mid 80s.

The front should clear the state tonight, bringing an end to the rain and allowing high pressure to move in with cooler air. Tomorrow will be pleasant, with highs around 80 degrees under sunny skies. Wednesday will be a few degrees warmer, but still extremely nice for late June.

Mostly Cloudy today

Current Surface Map
Low pressure will continue to move away from the area today, but will be close enough to bring a slight chance of a shower to the lower Eastern Shore and decreasing cloudiness to the rest of the state. Highs today will be in the upper 70s.

High pressure continues to build tomorrow, increasing the sunshine but keeping temperatures in the upper 70s with low humidity. This nice weather will continue through the weekend and into next week.

Temperatures and humidity will begin to rise Monday and Tuesday as the high pressure center pushes off shore and southerly flow returns. Highs Monday will push into the mid 80s, near 90 on Tuesday and likely into the 90s on Wednesday as the high pressure remains parked over the western Atlantic ocean.

Gradual clearing today, nice tomorrow

Current Surface Map
Expect gradual clearing today, as the cold front clears the area. Skies should turn partly sunny this afternoon as highs climb into the low to mid 80s.

Tomorrow the state will be between weather systems, as the front and Tropical Storm Beryl move off to the east and another area of low pressure approach from the west. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs around 80 degrees.

A warm front will move through on Friday, followed by a cold front Friday night into Saturday. This will trigger another round of showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon and Friday night. Just like last night’s storms, locally heavy rainfall can be expected.
