Mostly sunny today; Slight chance of showers this weekend

High pressure to our north will provide one more day of sunshine and drier air. Highs today will be in the low to mid 80s.

Yesterday, it appeared that an area of low pressure would affect the southern portion of the state with rain this weekend. It now appears that the low will move across Virginia and North Carolina instead. As a result, expect partly sunny skies both Saturday and Sunday with a slight chance of showers each day. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s both days.

Monday will be partly sunny, with highs around 80.

Rain chances increase again Monday night and Tuesday as a cold front approaches from the west. Expect scattered thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and again Wednesday as the front moves through. Highs both days will be in the low 80s.

Behind the front, the remainder of the work week looks dry as high pressure returns.
