Cloudy and cooler with drizzle and light rain today

Current Surface Map
A backdoor cold front has pushed in from the northeast and easterly flow off the Atlantic has brought in cool and moist air. Expect areas of fog, mist and drizzle this morning, continuing through the afternoon. Isolated heavier showers are possible this afternoon as well. Highs will only top out in the low 60s.

Areas of fog will develop tonight as the easterly flow continues.

As we head into tomorrow, high pressure will begin to build in from the northwest. This will scour out the moisture and turn the flow to a more northerly direction. As a result, expect morning clouds to break allowing some afternoon sunshine. There is a slight chance of a shower during the late afternoon, but most areas will remain dry. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s.

One More Day of Light Rain

The high will push back to the west tonight and should bring an end to the rainfall. Skies will begin to clear overnight tonight.

Tomorrow, the high will continue to bring in drier air. Expect partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 60s.

The high will strengthen its influence on the area Thursday and Friday as it continues to move into the area. Highs both days will be in the mid to upper 60s under partly sunny skies.

Easterly flow combined with low pressure has resulted in a cool and damp day with light rain likely through the day and night.

The rain is mainly along and east of I-95 at this time, but will work its way westward during the day. Highs will struggle into the upper 50s.

Onshore flow with damp conditions and light rain chances will persist tomorrow and Wednesday.

The rainfall is expected to be lighter than today, but will still be in the forecast into Wednesday night. Highs both days will be in the low to mid 60s.

High pressure building into the region today will lead to a breezy but sunny day. Highs will top out around 50 degrees.

Clouds will increase tonight ahead of an area of low pressure. The low, currently over eastern Texas, will move northeastward and off the mid-atlantic coast tomorrow night.

The exact track of the storm will determine how much and of what type of precipitation falls. Current thinking is light rain will develop tomorrow afternoon, gradually changing to snow tomorrow evening into tomorrow night.

Sunny today, slight chance of rain/snow tomorrow

Current Weather Map
High pressure remains in control today, providing sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 40s. The high will move off the coast tonight as an area of low pressure moves in from the west. This system will bring a chance of light precipitation tomorrow. Light rain or snow showers are possible in the morning, but as we warm up to near 50, only rain showers are expected in the afternoon.
