Showers Today, Drizzle Tomorrow, Heavier Rain Sunday & Monday

A storm system is pushing areas of showers into our area this morning. Showers will continue through the day as highs reach the mid 40s.

Clouds and drizzle will continue into tomorrow. Skies will remain cloudy through the day, but the rain should taper off during the afternoon. Highs will be in the 50s.

Another, stronger system will approach on Sunday. Low pressure is expected to develop over the southeast and move up the coast, becoming a strong Nor’Easter. If cold air was available, we would be looking at, and preparing for, a significant snowfall one year to the day of last year’s blizzard. Instead, it will be breezy with several rounds of soaking rain starting Sunday evening and lasting into Tuesday morning:

When all is said and done, 1-2″ of rain is likely:

Behind that system, we will remain mild, with highs in the 50s through Thursday before colder air moves in by week’s end.
