We will continue to melt away our snowpack this weekend as high pressure takes control and a warm up begins. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with highs near 40. It should be a nice but seasonably cold day for the Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge at Sandy Point State Park with light winds and plenty of sunshine to help warm you up!

Sunday will be mostly sunny and warmer, with highs in the low to mid 50s.

Monday will be partly sunny, with a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower as a weak front slides through. Highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Temperatures won’t be quite as warm on Tuesday, following the frontal passage but highs should still climb into the upper 40s to low 50s.

The warming trend peaks on Wednesday as temperatures surge to near 60 ahead of a strong cold front that will bring widespread rainfall and a flooding threat as the rain, warmth and snowmelt combine. This threat will be monitored over the coming days.

Temperatures return to near normal behind the front with highs back in the 40s to end the week with no real snow storm threat in the foreseeable future.
