High pressure builds into the region today. High pressure will set up off of the coast tomorrow leading to hot and humid conditions into the weekend.

TODAY: With high pressure building in, expect the hazy smoke from the Canadian wild fires to push south of the area leading to mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s.

THURSDAY: As a Bermuda High sets up, expect the heat and humidity to increase. It will be mostly sunny with a very slim chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the low 90s.

FRIDAY: Hazy, hot and humid conditions will persist, with a slight chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the low 90s.

SATURDAY: The heat and humidity will persist with a slightly better chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the mountains. Highs will be in the low 90s once again.

SUNDAY: The heat will break, with highs back into the mid 80s. An afternoon shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out.

OUTLOOK: A weak front will be over the area during the first part of the week, continuing chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid 80s Monday and Tuesday.
