A cold front will pass through this afternoon, ushering in high pressure with cooler and drier air. The high will slide off the coast by this weekend.

TODAY: A cold front will slide through the area this afternoon. Ahead of the front, temperatures will soar to near 90° for highs. The passage will be a dry one, with just a slight increase in clouds expected as it crosses. It will turn breezy this afternoon with west-northwest winds gusting to 25-30 mph.

WEDNESDAY: High pressure continues to build in, resulting in mostly sunny skies. It will continue to be breezy, with wind gusts to near 25 mph. Highs will be around 70°.

THURSDAY: Expect mostly sunny skies, light winds and highs in the low 70s.

FRIDAY: High pressure moves off of the coast causing southerly flow to develop. This will increase moisture in the area, resulting in a slight chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: High pressure will remain off of the coast, continuing to build warmer and more humid air over our area. Expect scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low 80s.
