High pressure will remain off of the Carolina coast today while a cold front approaches from the northwest. The front will move into the area tomorrow and remain over the area Wednesday. High pressure will return to end the week.

TODAY: With southerly flow in place, thanks to high pressure off of the Carolina coast, expect mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid 80s.

TUESDAY: A cold front will be moving into the area by tomorrow morning. As a result, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. It will continue to be warm, with highs in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY: The cold front will remain in the area, triggering more scattered showers and thunderstorms through Wednesday afternoon and into the evening. Highs will be in the mid 70s.

THURSDAY: High pressure will begin to build in, leading to mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s.

FRIDAY: Expect mostly sunny skies and highs around 80°.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: We start off mostly sunny and continued warm, with highs in the low 80s. A cold front will approach on Sunday, possibly setting off a few showers and thunderstorms by Sunday evening.
