Current Surface Map
TODAY: A cold front is moving in from the northwest while an area of low pressure is moving along it. The front will push southward during the day today as the low passes by to our south. As a result, showers are likely today into tonight. The heaviest rainfall will be across central and southern Maryland. Highs will be in the low 60s.

WEDNESDAY: The rain moves out and high pressure returns. Expect clearing skies with sunshine likely by the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.

THURSDAY: High pressure moves off of the New England coast causing an easterly flow to set up. At the same time, another system will approach from the west. The two factors will cause clouds to increase with a slight chance of a shower during the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the low 60s.

FRIDAY: Another system will push through with a slightly better chance of showers during the day and into the evening. Rain chances still remain low overall and will be light, but scattered showers cannot be ruled out. It will be warmer, with highs approaching 70°.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: A stronger system will bring a cold front into the area Saturday or Sunday. A period of rainfall is likely as the front crosses. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 60s to near 70° and highs on Sunday will be in the mid 60s.
