High pressure off of the Carolina coast will yield to an area of low pressure and cold front today and tomorrow. Ahead of the front, temperatures will climb into the upper 60s to low 70s as southwest winds increase through the day. Clouds will increase this afternoon as the storm system moves closer.

The system will push a warm front through tonight. This will support scattered showers during the overnight and into tomorrow morning. Rain will become likely by tomorrow afternoon as the front moves closer and a rumble of thunder is possible during the afternoon. Highs will be around 70°.

Rain and isolated storms will continue through tomorrow night and into Saturday morning. The front will pass through sometime early Saturday and high pressure will build back in for the remainder of the weekend.

Expect clearing skies by Saturday afternoon with highs in the mid 50s. Northwest winds will be strong, with gusts to near 30mph.

Sunday looks pleasant, with mostly sunny skies, light winds and afternoon highs in the low to mid 60s.

Looking to next week, the first half of the week looks warm but unsettled with showers possible Monday through Wednesday. More rain looks likely by the end of the week as well.
