Low weakens, rain chances decreasing

The low pressure that has been funneling moisture up the coast has continued to weaken, which has also severely weakened the flow of moisture up the coast. As temperatures warm this afternoon, scattered showers and storms will be possible as the atmosphere remains moist and unstable.

Scattered showers and storms are likely to affect the state through the weekend, until high pressure builds in Sunday night and Monday. The high will dry things out for the first half of the week, until another low pressure system begins to affect us Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will remain seasonal, with highs in the low to mid 80s.
